I just did something for the first and, probably, last time: I deleted a post on The Hannibal Blog.
Why?
I’d like to make the answer general, not specific to the post in question. The post was badly written, and that tells me that I must shrink this blog — not in size but in scope.
I will explain in the next post.
Eh I didn’t think the post was bad. Plus, the post is still viewable on RSS feed readers; trying to erase something on the internet is a futile effort.
Thanks, Dana. Yup, pity about those RSS readers. Another reminder that a certain caution is in order when doing anything on the internet.
BTW, I’ve take a liberty and deleted one single word from your comment. That’s because, as I said above, I want to keep this and the next post general, not specific to the post in question. I hope that’s alright.
@Andreas
BTW, I’ve take a liberty and deleted one single word from your comment.
Oh great! Now, I will obsess for days, perhaps weeks, on what that word might have been.
You should have a referendum about this.
There is nothing in your widgets your readers can possibly live without.
What would the referendum ask and how would you vote?
Ah, who’s the RSS tease now?
I learned it from you. 😉
Few people have the greatness to do this. Thing is, I just posted the longest entry ever on my blog (since 2006, that is) before I checked by Hannibal. You make me think, Master C.
Well, get ready for an irony. The next post, explaining why I will “shrink” this blog, will be 2,000 words long. 🙂
